When I first heard of it, I let it slip by me because I was still wrestling with blogs. I know, I am very behind in my knowledge of the internet. It took me a long time to come to the realization that there was more to the net than adult and sleazy porn sites. There are truckloads of those to be sure and they can definitely occupy your time but, from what happened, blogging held my attention the longest because there is something about writing that attracts me. This is not to say that I am good at it but the desire to write is ever there. Who cares that there were no subscribers. Writing was good enough to keep me well content. Well, not for long, anyway. I got sick of doing the same boring things, namely, blogging, or more importantly, I ran out of things to write about. I sorely wanted a change to keep from going bonkers and I turned my attention on other stuff like obtaining visitors. So I considered social bookmarking. Nothing hard-core, just surface-skimming stuff like, how does it work and simple things like that. The excellent thing regarding social bookmarking sites is that it requires very little intellectual capacity. You sign up and submit your sites and they accept it. Then the magic begins. Search engines find your sites and rank them. cool! I have had a site rank in number one on Google’s search pages after I submitted it to a few social bookmarking sites.
